Gary Law Office Participates in Inaugural Treasure Coast
Food Bank “Food Frenzy” - Firm Donates Over 5000
Pounds of Food - 4000 Meals for Needy Families

STUART, FL – Employees of the Law Offices of Gary, Williams, Finney, Lewis, Watson and Sperando, P.L. recently participated in the Treasure Coast Food Bank’s Inaugural Food Frenzy. Law firms from the surrounding area took part in a friendly competition to collect non-perishable items to benefit families on the Treasure Coast. The Treasure Coast Food Bank supports a network of emergency food assistance programs in Martin, Okeechobee, St. Lucie and Indian River counties.

Over 100 employees of the Gary Law Office donated food and cash to assist in this worthwhile effort. Many participants took time out of their busy schedules to not only shop for items to benefit the food drive but also used this event as motivation to clean out their pantries and cabinets. By the second week of the Food Frenzy, the storage site in the law firm began to overflow with goods.

At the conclusion of the event, the Law Offices of Gary, Williams, Finney, Lewis, Watson and Sperando, P.L. collected the most food in the large firms division. The firm collected an astonishing 5733 pounds of food -- just shy of three tons! The amount of food and monetary donations gathered by the employees of the law firm translates into 4000 meals, which is enough to feed a family of four people three meals a day for 11 months!

A total of over 9000 pounds of food was collected which will be distributed to families on the Treasure Coast who are suffering from hunger. In addition to helping those who are in need, the Food Frenzy demonstrated a strong collective effort of area law firms for a very worthwhile endeavor.
